Chadwell springs chalk mine is situated just few minutes drive from Ware town centre, Hidden down a steep slope at the end of someones garden. I previously visited this mine back in August 2009 and decided it was time to go back and get some better shots.
This mine dates back to the 19th century and has about 500 feet of passages. Even though it is rather small in size it has some nice features. The high ceilings and a large pit dropping down about 14ft are just a couple of these.
I would like to thank the owners once again for letting visit the mine.
