Sand mine / air raid shelter, November 2013

Heading out late one night we set off in search for these long forgotten sand mines.
After spening some time running around in the dark frantically looking for an access point we finally found what we'd been looking for.
We set up a quick SRT rig (plus a caving ladder just incase) and made our way inside.

Underground Reservoir, London. Oct 2013

In the middle of a park in London lies this huge victorian reservoir.
Little known to the thousands that pass by it on the streets above everyday.
The brickwork in here was simply stunning, it's such a shame it's seen by so few.
As darkness crept in we made our way inside.

Royal Hospital Haslar, Portsmouth. May 2013

From approaching the site we soon realised gaining access wasn't going to be too easy.
Being an old millitary hospital it's pretty secure and we chose to go early Sunday morning when the coastline was full of fisherman and couples taking a morning stroll.
None the less with some perseverance we found ourselves where we needed to be.

The Russian Submarine, U-475, December 2012

During the cold winter months I could think of plenty of places I would rather be than wedged-in a tiny dingy with three other explorers, Struggling to keep our camera equipment dry whilst fighting currents across the river medway.
But we were on a mission (or an epic pirate voyage, Arrrrgh!)

Middleton Mine, November 2012

I've been waiting over three years to go here but due to one thing or another it just never happened.
However with a weekend off and some good company I finally  found myself under the moores of Middleton, a small village in Derbyshire set in the southern margin of the peak district where the last working limestone mine in the uk is located.

Regional Government Bunker SRHQ 4.2, Hertford

This bunker hidden under Sovereign House in Hertford has always been at the back of my mind since I first heard about it in 2004. Local newspapers at the time were always mentioning secret tunnels running throughout the town and this bunker was said to lead into them. So not only a bunker to explore but apparently an extensive set of tunnels too? Surely this was to good to be true?

Goodmayes Asylum.

Right, So I'm trying hard to catch up with some old reports, This ones from back in December last year. Peach and myself decided to check out Goodmayes asylum, But mentioning this to Skeleton Key whilst he was ill turned out to be a bad idea.
He'd spent the previous few days resting up at home suffering from a punctured lung,
But instead from missing out he insisted on coming anyway.
Apprehensive at first but pretty sure SK would be fine, we headed off.

Old Church Hospital, Romford.

Positioned in the middle of a very modern looking part of Romford you will find this little gem.
When approaching the building from the road I couldn't help but think of the Disney film 'UP'.
It reminded me of the little old guy's little house positioned smack bang in the center of an ever growing city.

Whilst out checking a few possible leads, We heading into a partially disused hospital in the hope to find something to explore. What we found was not what we'd bargained for.

Healings Mill, Tewkesbury, April 2012

Harpenden WW2 Air Raid Shelters, April 2012

Whilst researching the WW2 shelters in Luton I got onto thinking that if they had shelters built there surely some of the surrounding towns would as well?
So after randomly typing in towns near Luton into Google, Harpenden popped up with 4+ shelters scattered around the town. Bingo!

A Day At The Races. (Trapped By Guard Dogs At Walthamstow Stadium)

This Video captures the moment we were trapped by one of two free roaming guard dogs at the Walthamstow Stadium. The dog came at us forceing us to take refuge in a nearby toilet.
