Z Rocket Battery, Dover, September 2011

With the weekend off and a few months since last visiting Dover, Peach and myself decided to head over to meet up with the Thanet Explorers & a few others to see some more of the local sites.
As anyone that has previously explorered this site would know at the end of the slope down into the battery if you took a turn right you would have a nasty surprise. There is a steep slope leading to a hole that drops directly off the cliffe face. So caution is advised!

Mount Pleasant & Grey Gables Mine, Wiltshire, Aug 2011

This was the first location we visited as part of a 4 day trip spending 3 nights below wiltshire in various mines.
Having not seen alot of information on this mine I wasn't to sure what to expect. As we approached the gate we soon realised we wasn't just going be able to walk in like some of Wiltshire's mines that I'd been to. Not letting that defeat us we spent the next half hour or so desperatly seeking an entrance, Not having much luck we decided to ring vwdirtboy and thankfully recieved some usefull information (Cheers mate).
After a bit of brainstorming we finally found ourselfs inside.

Animal Testing Labs, Hertfordshire, Aug 2011

This report consists of photos over various visits.

On our first visit we wandered the site for what felt like an eternity struggling to gain access to any off the buildings whilst trying to keep low and avoid the on site security, Just as we was thinking of calling it a day we found a way into a small building near the front of the site Although this turned out to be a very disapointing loading bay of somesort. (We wanted creepy animal testing labs, mad scientists and flying monkeys!) It wasn't until we reached the far side of the building and stumbled accross access to a service tunnel that things started to look up!

Pyestock NGTE, Farnborough, June 2011

Pyestock is one of those sites that every explorer should see but to say that the security are on the ball is a serious understatement! It has regular security petrols and the first time we'd attempted it we had a run in with the police and had to flee the site sharpish. This day was to be no different. With the weather reaching rediculously high temperatures we found ourself running from building to building  slouching down to avoid being spotted. At one point we had to hang low in Cell 3 for over an hour whilst hearing the constant rumble of  the security vans driving round us.

Royal Victoria Hospital, Folkestone, June 2011

What a surprise this turned out to be. Over the last couple of days we had been talking about making a re-visit to Severalls, But the day before we planned to set off I recieved a call from Space Invaider explaining that they had seen a different hospital with loads of equipment, thousands of xray scans and morgue fridges still intact,
It all sounded to good to be true!
